STEB: categories

You can compete in two categories: basic or advanced.

In each of them, one edition of the competition consists of five series. Each series contains study material and competition questions. 

After each series, we will check and circle your answers to the questions and add explanations if necessary.

In this category you will learn many interesting things and hopefully discover that in biology, behind the facts and concepts, there is a fascinating story of the origin and evolution of life on Earth.

Contestants in the basic category earn points in each series only for correctly answered questions.

This category will take much less time, but the points earned in this category will not be enough to be invited to the final camp. However, you can still win other interesting prizes and compete with your peers. 

This category includes everything that the basic category does, but there is one extra challenging task in each series.

Contestants in the challenging category earn points in each series for answering the questions correctly and also for completing the project.

You'll receive detailed feedback on the projects, which can help you improve your skills significantly during the school year, which will be useful in your further science studies.

This category will take significantly more of your time, but by participating you are also competing for an invitation to the final camp.
