As you all know, the length of a dragon's tail is genetically determined. Below, you will find two simulators: one assumes that five genes (loci) determine the length, and the second assumes that it is determined by a single gene.Â
Both simulators generate 500 offspring from the mating of two completely heterozygous individuals and calculate and display the offspring's tail lengths. In addition, it shows you the minimum, maximum, and average values, as well as a histogram of all values.Â
Compare these values and the distributions for both types of genetic determination (five-gene and single-gene) and discuss your observations. Â
